Recently, my cat has started urinating in places other than his litter box. I have ruled out all other causes besides him being lonely and feeling neglected because I am working longer hours.
Has anyone encountered this situation, and what did you do?

Glad to see some new people up here :)
please help! My cat wakes me up at 3 or 4 AM. every niight.
I have a loft apartment so my bedroom is elevated above the living room and exposed to it. So i cant really close a door and kick him out... he is all over the place and always find something to make noise with (ok its cute i know.. but i cant sleep!)
I hear people recommend giving your cat a good 15-20 minute play session just before going to bed. Honestly, though, I tried that and it didn't seem to make much of a difference. still a wild and crazy and noisy little kitty at nite.
what are your thoughts?

Ive been thinking of fostering again.. been going back and forth about opening my home to a couple kitties so that they may be suitable for a forever home.
My concerns are that i wont be good at this. I want to do this and help cats and new owners.
Does anyone have experience or some advice for me?
in other news my Cat has finally completed the toilet training and is fully able to do it. Im loving it, seems he is too!

Oh no! im glad to hear Chi Chi is doing well.
I would like to put a question out to fellow cat lovers...
I have one cat, and i am always being pressured by friends to add a second one to act as a friend and playmate. They say that mine is probably unhappy without one. I work at home and i give him lots of attention and playtime daily..and i don't feel like he is unhappy. I'm not opposed to adding a second feline but don' t know if i like the argument that my cat is currently unhappy....
thoughts?

I love my cat Dexter's unique and regal beauty - he's a short-haired orange tabby cat, with a slender yet solid build, whose downy soft, gleaming coat, and little active tail make me smile no matter what mood im in. When Dexter is being playful, he turns into a total clown, flying from one end of my apartment to the other in a split second, or writhing on the floor, rapidly flipping from one side to another, demanding to have his back scratched. At night, he's either curled up on the pillow I rest my arm on, or at the foot of the bed. If I get up during the middle of the night, he lets out a soft little trill, and is right on my heels. I work from home about 3 days a week and i can guarantee he will sit on my lap or on the bookshelf above my computer. Dexter is the purrrfect companion. I love my little Dexter
