Glad to see some new people up here :)

please help! My cat wakes me up at 3 or 4 AM. every niight.

I have a loft apartment so my bedroom is elevated above the living room and exposed to it. So i cant really close a door and kick him out... he is all over the place and always find something to make noise with (ok its cute i know.. but i cant sleep!)

I hear people recommend giving your cat a good 15-20 minute play session just before going to bed. Honestly, though, I tried that and it didn't seem to make much of a difference. still a wild and crazy and noisy little kitty at nite.

what are your thoughts?

Ive been thinking of fostering again.. been going back and forth about opening my home to a couple kitties so that they may be suitable for a forever home.

My concerns are that i wont be good at this. I want to do this and help cats and new owners.

Does anyone have experience or some advice for me?

in other news my Cat has finally completed the toilet training and is fully able to do it. Im loving it, seems he is too!

Hmm, my day has started off swell. This morning, Chi Chi and I, along with her brothers and sisters, enjoyed a splendid breakfast, and off for a walk we went. It is rainy and cold today in Elk Horn, but nothing warms my heart up more than being with my beautiful kitties. Yesterday, my Catahoula Leopard Dog, Eminem, chased Chi Chi's sister, Lady GaGa up the pear tree located in my back yard, near the morgue. It was a hassell getting her down, so i ended up calling the Elk Horn Volunterr Fire Department. They came out right away for they could here the trembling fear in my voice, as well as Lady GaGa's meow. Eminem was put into time out for his wrong doings and now gets one week without food. I feel he will learn his lesson this way.

Oh no! im glad to hear Chi Chi is doing well.

I would like to put a question out to fellow cat lovers...

I have one cat, and i am always being pressured by friends to add a second one to act as a friend and playmate. They say that mine is probably unhappy without one. I work at home and i give him lots of attention and playtime daily..and i don't feel like he is unhappy. I'm not opposed to adding a second feline but don' t know if i like the argument that my cat is currently unhappy....

thoughts?

OH NO! where do i begin today? last night, my favorite cat, Chi Chi, choked on her Meow Mix dinner. I didn't know what to do, so I called my local vet, who told me to the cat would be fine, so reccessitate her by giving her CPR (aka mouf ta mouf) and i said, "i'll do the dayum thing shawty!!!!" so when i tried it didnt work so i brought out my witchcraft book and cast a spell on her. all is well now and Chi Chi is back to playing with her toys and rolling in rubbish. GOOD DAY WORLD

I love my cat Dexter's unique and regal beauty - he's a short-haired orange tabby cat, with a slender yet solid build, whose downy soft, gleaming coat, and little active tail make me smile no matter what mood im in. When Dexter is being playful, he turns into a total clown, flying from one end of my apartment to the other in a split second, or writhing on the floor, rapidly flipping from one side to another, demanding to have his back scratched. At night, he's either curled up on the pillow I rest my arm on, or at the foot of the bed. If I get up during the middle of the night, he lets out a soft little trill, and is right on my heels. I work from home about 3 days a week and i can guarantee he will sit on my lap or on the bookshelf above my computer. Dexter is the purrrfect companion. I love my little Dexter

A TASTE OF MY ANIMAL ENCOUNTERS

Tuesday - 17/3/2009

Greeted as usual by Minx (tiny tortoiseshell) when collecting Elsa the labrador and stopped by Rosie whilst on my way home. Both received biscuits as usual. And Ricky and Billy the ponies got their polo mints as usual.

Wednesday'

Blacky the near neighbour's cat wandered up to say hello and ask for some attention. Both Minx and Ginger (her son) met me when fetching Elsa. Had some unwanted choc drops (Oscar the basset hound does not like them) for Hector and Hattie. Billy and Ricky had their mints. Blacky turned up again whilst I was watering my plants. Again just for attention as he had not touched the milk and biscuits I left him this morning. The roaming white Tom with the ghostly face will probably have those when next on his rounds.

THURSDAY

Just Minx greeted me when I coillected Elsa. Ricky and Billy also missed out as they were not around when I passed with Hector and Hattie. Got diverted on my way back with Hattie.

Friday

Both Minx and Ginger met me. We had some drama as Oscar the basset hound wet missing. Could not find him in either field so I went nback to his home and found him there. Gave Ricky and Billy some extra mints to make up for yesterday. Rosie caught me on my way to the local shops and demanded some biscuits. Just as a hot air balloon just managed to avoid landing in the river and crashing into the motorway bridge !

No more entries I live a reclusive life at weekends.
